Rogers Dining & Attractions: Complete Guide | Rx Catering NWA
Rogers Dining, Attractions & Things to Do
Discover NWA's fast-growing city—revitalized downtown, Beaver Lake access, world-class mountain biking, and family-friendly entertainment.
Rogers combines suburban growth with historic charm, positioned perfectly between Bentonville's cultural hub and Beaver Lake's recreational paradise. With a population exceeding 72,000, Rogers is NWA's third-largest city and its fastest-growing—a family-friendly community with excellent schools, abundant retail, and easy lake access.
The revitalized downtown has brought new restaurants and craft breweries to Victorian-era storefronts, while the Taneyard Trail and Lake Atalanta offer world-class outdoor recreation just minutes from the city center. The Walmart AMP (Arkansas Music Pavilion) draws major touring acts all summer, and Beaver Lake's 487 miles of shoreline are just 15 minutes away. Rx Catering NWA is proud to serve Rogers' growing community of families, businesses, and outdoor enthusiasts.
The Gateway to Beaver Lake
Rogers was founded in 1881 as a railroad town when the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway (Frisco) extended its line through Northwest Arkansas. The city was named after Captain Charles W. Rogers, the railroad's general manager who championed the route. For nearly a century, Rogers remained a quiet agricultural community with apple orchards and poultry farms defining its economy.
The transformation began gradually in the 1990s as Walmart's growth spilled over from nearby Bentonville, but the real catalyst came in 2014 when the Walmart AMP (Arkansas Music Pavilion) opened in Pinnacle Hills. Almost overnight, Rogers became the region's entertainment epicenter, hosting major touring acts from Elton John to Blake Shelton.
Today, Rogers occupies a unique position: it's the retail and entertainment hub of Northwest Arkansas (the Promenade, the AMP, national chain restaurants), but it also offers authentic small-town charm in its revitalized downtown and direct access to Beaver Lake—the region's premier water playground. The 28,000-acre reservoir with 487 miles of shoreline offers boating, fishing, swimming, and lakeside living just 15 minutes from downtown Rogers.
